“We need to give each other the space to grow, to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity. We need to give each other space so that we may both give and receive such beautiful things as ideas, openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion”.
-Max De Pree

“There’s a lot of things that I still remember…”. Well it’s called memories, of You and Me.

:’)

All is well

So it seems like I have to keep on walking and continue believing. Amazing how they made it sound so easy, thinking that the dreams we build is only a step closer. But here’s the real deal, nothing is ever easy. Yeah it’s definitely a long way to go but despite the uncertainty and complications throughout the journey, it’s just me against the world. The dreams I created is mine to make it happen and although it’s still far away, I know that in years to come, I’ll be there embracing every moment of it.

Just so you know, I have faith and hope to guide me through my journey..

God’s willing.

Same old, same old. I’ve been very busy, as always. But hey, think it’s time for a new update.

Raya is finally over but unfortunately, I didn’t manage to pay the elders a visit like how I always did yearly. So many things to do, so little time. Frustrating, I know.

That aside, I have always loved the month of September! Oh come on, who doesn’t love their birthday month? Lol. Well for September this year, there were three occasions that took place; Hari Raya, birthdays and the official launching of MATA music video by Hyrul! Alhamdulillah, all three occasions went exceptionally well as planned. Here are the photos for you to look at. Although it may be quite outdated, it’s always better to be late than never! Hehe.

Presenting

It has been a fruitful year and most of the things we have planned are almost done. The past few months have been pretty hectic but we’d managed to juggle between work, school and ‘the project’. The stocks came in early and we, being VERY picky by nature, made sure that every threads and designs were thoroughly checked.

Well my friends, in case you are wondering to what I am referring, I have a piece of good news that I would personally like to share. After months of hard work, my best friend, Ella, and I are proud to announce that we are having our first launch of Alanna Couture in a few weeks time!

ALANNA COUTURE will be the new clothing label that you should look out for. We make sure that every piece is made of good quality material as well as runway inspired pieces! We understand that runway items are expensive but we bring it at a fraction of price! We are aiming to give every beautiful individual, which is YOU, a style NOT a trend. We believe that style is modest!

How did the idea of starting an online shop occurred to us?

Here’s how. During our teenage days, we have always loved playing dressing up with different styles and accessorize ourselves from top to bottom. We often play mix and match with whatever we have in our closet and it surprises us that we ended up looking quite good most of the time. Haha!

So as we grow older, we slowly began to have the interest in business partly because our jobs are business related. Throughout the years of our working experience, we gained so much knowledge from the company we are working with and it somehow influenced us in setting up our own business. What could have been more perfect than an online retail shop of fashion?

Here’s a sneak peak of our designs that we bring in!

Look out for the FIRST launch as we have lined up freebies for our first time customers!

On a different note, if you girls love taking photos and secretly wish to have a photo shoot session, I have just the right thing for you! If you think you have what it takes to be our model, then come and join us! Oh please do not be shy and email me here! We’d love to have you with us! It’s okay if you are tall or short, we will definitely welcome you lovelies with open arms! =p

With that, I do hope you pretty girls will give us your support. Show us some love and spread the good news! <3

Hey YOU

Hey lovely girls,

do you like taking photos of yourself or is interested in modelling? If you do, then I have just the right thing for you! Do keep a lookout cos’ I will let you know in just a bit!

ps: It’s alright if you have zero experience  cos’ I’m looking for young girls to help me with my ‘project’. You’re gonna love it, I promise! :)

*excited*

Psst

Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter! :)

What do people often mean when they kept saying, ‘Support our local talent!’? Why do people often say that the Music Industry in Singapore will never go far when they themselves fail to even show a tiny bit of support to the local talent? Have you ever wondered?

People tend to complain that they kept seeing the same faces on TV all the time when we actually do have quite a number of talented singers in Singapore. Perhaps luck is not on their side. Well not yet, at least.  So why don’t we support our local talents and give them a chance to show what they are capable of? Anugerah Planet Muzik 2011 is coming and it is high time our favourite singers should be given the opportunity to showcase their talent and expose themselves to our neighbouring countries. What say you? Voting for Anugerah Planet Muzik 2011 is still ongoing so cast your votes now!

Well let me tell you who I’m voting for. *fingers crossed*

1)       The one with the husky voice. If you are someone closed to me, you will definitely know who I am referring to. Oh yes, Hady Mirza! Our Singapore Idol Season 2.

 2)       Little small boy, Hydir Idris, the semi-finalists of Anugerah 2009. He sure is tiny but don’t be too quick to judge. He has the tendency to surprise the audience! Good luck, you little one!

3)       Singaporean-born Malaysian artiste, Imran Ajmain. Well what can I say, he is just so amazing beyond words can describe!

4)      I’m pretty sure you lovelies should know who is next. I have witnessed his potential and effort in pursuing his dreams. While others were busy pulling him down, he find ways to get through the obstacles no matter how tough it was. Anugerah 2005 winner, Hyrul Anuar had people questioning him about the release of his album. He was often asked, “When is your album coming out? It has been years already..”. He was busy serving the nation back then and his schedule was tight. Hence the delay of the album.

Done with NS, he finally went all out in making sure his album will be released by mid 2010. Never mind the mayhems, the empty promises and the never-ending challenges he faced, he remained focused on his project with the help of Imran Ajmain, the first time album producer of Sesebuah Perubahan. I am proud to be his sister, his friend, his worst nightmare and his number 1 fan! I am proud not because of his fame, but for his guidance, perseverance, faith and sincerity for his success. Alhamdulillah.

To all the Hyrulites, families, friends and fellow readers of my blog, if you think Hyrul Anuar should be given the opportunity to perform live for APM 2011, do me a kind favour of clicking his name on FB. All you need is 15 seconds of your time and you’re done! Click on the link here and vote!

Thank you so much for supporting! No matter who gets to perform, we will still support our local talent! Kalau bukan kita yang sokong, siapa lagi?

I’ll be back!

LOVE.
